Course overview
Set in the heart of Pukekura Park, this 5km is all about good vibes, great scenery, and a run you’ll actually enjoy from start to finish.
You’ll kick things off at TSB Stadium before heading straight into the park’s winding paths. From there, it’s a mix of leafy trails, open spaces, and those classic “how is this so nice?” moments.
Along the way, you’ll pass by Fountain Lake, run through the park’s iconic gardens, and glide past Poets Bridge — all while soaking up one of New Zealand’s most loved green spaces.
The course flows naturally with a few twists, turns, and gentle rises to keep things interesting. It’s approachable for all levels, whether you’re chasing a time, jogging with friends, or just out to enjoy the atmosphere.
Fresh air, great views, and a little bit of challenge to keep you honest — this is 5km done right. 💙
Start your 5km adventure at TSB Stadium and roll straight into one smooth lap of Pukekura Park.
You’ll wind through leafy paths, cruise past Fountain Lake and run past the iconic Poets Bridge — it’s basically a highlight reel on legs.
Along the way, expect a few gentle twists, turns… and a little bit of attitude to keep things interesting

Here’s what you need to know:
- $15 entry (valid up to race day!) for ages 0–11
- Includes a Coastal Five finisher’s medal and a limited-edition Coastal Five Jibbitz™ for their shoes
- Kids aged 0–9 must run with a registered adult (10+ can go solo)
- Optional: Kids Coastal Five t-shirt available for just $25 – specially priced to keep it accessible for all our little legends.
