Minimum Age
Open to all ages. All participants between the ages of 2 – 4 must register and be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the event. The accompanying adult must also register for the event and takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant under 5 years. Participants 5 years and older can complete the course without an accompanying adult.

Timing Results
Timing results will be provided by age group category. Raceway Mile age group categories are as follows for men and women; 0-9 years, 10-15 years, 16-34 years, 35-49 years, 50-64 years, 65+ years
Walkers
Walkers are welcome to enter the Raceway Mile. All walkers must start the event behind the runners.
Prizes
All Devon Mile finishers will receive a finisher medal. Random draw spot prizes will be awarded at prizegiving.
Race Rules
Baby buggies and prams will be allowed. Non-racing wheelchairs may be permitted to register, but must seek prior approval from the Race Director by emailing info@coastalfive.co.nz

Ready to finish off the Coastal Five with a short and sharp race?
This is going to be epic! The Mile is back and it's flat and fast, but it sure is going to tickle.
Our shortest event of the weekend will not only be our fastest but our biggest. We are encouraging everyone to get out and support the finale including waves for the kids.
The race starts at the iconic New Plymouth Racecourse and is a straight up and back to Coronation Ave.

One of our goals for the Coastal Five is to get kids participating and taking part in the events. At 1.6km the Raceway Mile is a great distance for the little ones to come out and have a go.
- $15 race entry up to race day for 0-11 years.
- Includes Coastal Five t-shirt and finishers medal. Enter before the 15th September 2025 to receive the free t-shirt.
- Please note that an adult is required to enter and accompany all under 10s. 10 and 11 year olds may complete the event unaccompanied.
- Full road closure to provide a safe event.
